CAIRO – 10 October 2017: Scenarist Mohamed Nayer returns after six years of absence to write the new TV series, “Behind the Sun,” and the comedy film, “Sun and Moon.”

Mohamed Emam asked him to write a film that fuses action and comedy, hence Nayer wrote “Sun and Moon,” which will be starring Emam and Yasmine Sabri.

Since his last movie “Broadcasting Love” in 2011, Nayer has only written one other film since; “Misunderstanding” in 2015, which was directed by Ahmed Samir Farag. He pointed out that the movie “Misunderstanding” was not for the common audience, and was only displayed in Egypt for two weeks.

The last TV series he wrote was “The Caesar” in 2016.

Nayer was born in 1982 in Netherlands. He debuted his career as a scenarist with the film “Best Friends” in 2009, and TV series “Citizen X” in 2011.
