CAIRO – 9 October 2017: The Cairo Opera House will host Carl Orff’s legendary ballet shows, “Carmina Burana” and “Fiesta Flamenca.” Flamenco de Madrid [Madrid Flamenco Ballet] will perform them from October 12 to October 17.

Born in 2001, Ballet Flamenco de Madrid is an independent theater company that contributed in improving the artistic frame work of Spanish dance.

It established its independent training workshops and school. The repertoire of it contains a number of iconic international performances such as “Carmen” by Georges Bizet and “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff.

Carmina Burana is a scenic cantata composed by Orff in 1935 and 1936.

It is based on 24 poems written in Latin from the medieval collection “Carmina Burana,” which means in English “Songs of Beuern.”
