Fabrica to present “Human not Marionettes” performance

CAIRO – 8 October 2017: Egyptian musical theatre group Fabrica will present the musical theatre performance “Human not Marionettes” at the Culture Wheel on October 13.

Fabrica is an institution founded on October 1, 2011, aiming to develop the contemporary Egyptian performing arts scene and cultural production, focusing in its first phases on musical theater in Egypt by offering training programs, performance possibilities and outreach to the community.

In partnership with the U.S. embassy, the global nonprofit organization Meridian International Center organized a two-week program with Fabrica in January 2017 to travel to Washington, New York and Boston for cultural exchange. The program aims to create dialogue between Egyptian and American performances to build an indigenous musical theatre genre in Egypt.
