Al Ain Book Fair announces upcoming seminar schedule

CAIRO – 29 September 2017: The ninth edition of the annual Al Ain Book Fair (AABF) has announced its schedule for its upcoming seminars and guest speakers.

Dedicated to showcasing literature in the UAE, the AABF has a primary focus of connecting readers to their favorite authors, through talks, seminars and various other activities and educational programmes geared towards helping young minds grow.

Starting from September 24 until October 2, the fair’s schedules features events featuring various intellectuals, such as ‘Build your child's intelligence’ on September 26, where Dr Ahmed Al Imam, a mental health consultant from the Claude Bernard University in France, discusses the best ways to help a child’s cognitive development.

Other seminars include ‘Violence-free childhood’ on September 28, where UAE justice official Atiqa Al Kuthairi discusses Wadima’s law, which was passed to help ensure children have safe home environments. On October 1 there will be a seminar by author Imad Ahmad Al-Zabn, professor at the UAE University titled ‘Reading Strategies and Practices,’ which discusses the best ways to read and analyze text.
