CAIRO - 29 September 2017: El Gouna Film Festival is wrapping up after a schedule full of interesting movies screenings, workshops, panels among other useful activities. The last day of the festival contains a number of activities.

The most remarkable activity in the last day of the festival will be Masterclass on the art of filmmaking with Oliver Stone. Legendary filmmaker Oliver Stone presents on Friday a special masterclass on the art of filmmaking at 10:30 a.m. at Audimax theatre.


No Bed for Roses film will be screened at 11 a.m. at Sea Cinema 1.
The movie revolves around a successful movie director Javed Hasan finds himself in a midlife crisis, questioning whether marriage and career have demanded too much from him. A tryst with Nitu, his daughter's childhood friend, turns into a national scandal. Javed's loving family is torn apart.

‘’The Art of the Craft,’’ masterclass by Forest Whitaker will take place at 12:30 p.m., moderated by David D’arcy. Whitaker is one of the very few actors that won the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Critics' Choice Award, Golden Globe Award and SAG Award for the same performance.

The Academy Award winner worked as a producer, executive producer and directed many award winning films and shows ever since he started his career. In this masterclass Whitaker will explain how his acting career started, what method or practice does he lead, discuss some of his most memorable roles and how he prepared for them, how he chooses his works and what excites him, and lastly why he pursues production now, and what kind of works does he aim to promote.

The closing ceremony and announcement of the El Gouna Star winners will take place Friday at the Marina theatre in a glittering event at 4:30 p.m.
