CAIRO – 19 September 2017: Head of Cairo Opera House Inas Abdel Dayem has accepted the three categories of the competition that will take place in the 26th Arabic Music Festival held from November 1 to 15 at Cairo Opera House.

This competition is held in the spirit of the late singer Mohsen Farouk.

The competition consists of three sections. The first section, which is for people aged between 17 and 40 years old, focuses on the artistic creativity in Arabic music. The second section is for competitors playing one of the most traditional musical instruments – Rabab. The final section is for children aged between six to 14 years old introducing historic songs.

The winners in the first, second and third sections will be awarded LE 40,000, LE 22,000 and LE 10,000 respectively.

The winners will participate in the closing ceremony at the Great Hall of Cairo Opera House.
