Irish company to film archaeological documentary on Egypt

CAIRO- 18 September- 2017: An Irish production company named, The Film, will film a documentary about the holy places of ancient civilizations around the world which include Egyptian archaeological sites in Cairo and Luxor.

The Egyptian ambassador in Ireland, Soha el Genedy, met with a delegation from the company. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a press statement on Sunday that this meeting comes within the framework of the Foreign Ministry's strategy, the Egyptian embassies and diplomatic missions abroad to highlight Egypt's soft cultural points of strength, in addition to promoting Egypt’s culture, civilization and tourism as well as efforts to promote bilateral relations at various levels with the EU countries.

The Irish company is expected to shoot in a number of Egyptian archaeological sites, including the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Saqqara, Giza Pyramids, the Valley of Kings, Dandara and Luxor regions. The documentaries that will be executed by The Film Company will screen on both American and Irish channels.
