CAIRO – 16 September 2016: Cinematheque will screen two films directed by the Egyptian director Nadine Khan, the films are “Wahed fi el Million” [One in a Million], and “Harag w’ Marag” [Chaos, Disorder] on September 17 and September 19.

Released in 2006, “Wahed fi el Million” is a short film. It revolves around portraying a wedding taking place in the streets, and the story of the movie is divided and portrayed through the point of view of the guests.

“Harag W’ Marag,” on the other hand, is the first long film directed and written by Khan.

Released in 2012, the film narrates the story of a game for winning love; Manal, Zaki and Mounir are in their twenties and are searching for stable lives.

Yet, are always embroiled in working to meet their daily social needs blocks their high hopes of marriage.

Even though living in miserable social and economic conditions, Mounir and Zaki decide to place a bet through a soccer game; the winner gets to marry Manal.

The film stars Ayten Amer, Mohamed Farraag, and Ramsi Lehner.

It won the Muhr Arab Special Jury Prize at Dubai International Film Festival in 2012.
