CAIRO – 16 September 2017: Om Kalthoum Museum will host a discussion about the cooperation between Om Kalthoum and Riad Al Sunati on September 17.

The discussion will be headed by oud pioneers Atef Abd El Hamid, Hoda Ahmed and Mohamed Al Subati.

Al Sunbati is one of the influential Arabic composers, with more than 500 compositions to his name.

He collaborated with a number of Arabic musicians such as Om Kalthoum, Mounira El Mahdeya, Asmahan, and Warda.

He was called the Master of Arabic Poems musical composing as he composed more than 100 songs for Om Kalthoum.

He was awarded UNESCO international music prize as he the only Arabic musician who wasn’t influenced with a foreign music.

He was born on November 30, 1906, and died on September 10, 1981.
