CAIRO – 13 September 2017: The Culture Ministry is organizing a number of cultural events in different venues run by the Culture Minister Helmi al-Namnam on September 14.

Supreme Council of Culture

The Supreme Council of Culture will organize a press conference to announce the details of the |International Samaa’ Festival.

The 10th edition of the festival will run from September 20 to September 27.

El Hanager Arts Center

The National Center of Theatre, Music and Folklore will hold a seminar after “El Hafla El Tanakoriya” [The Fancy Costume Party] show at El Salam Theatre.

The play is directed by Hisham Gomaa. It is an adaptation for one of Alberto Moravia’s texts.

The play discusses a number of political issues and tyrant political regimes in the world.

It stars Mohamed Reyad and Lekaa Swedan.

It was performed for the first time on August 19 at El Salam Theatre.

The center will also continue screening female Egyptian pioneer films.

The Laurel and Hardy film week is still running

The Beshtak Palace

The House of Arabic Singing will organize a music discussion entitled “Saloon El Maqamaat” at 8 p.m. in cooperation with the Egyptian Cultural Radio Station.

Taz Palace

Another music discussion will be held at Taz Palace entitled “Esmaa’ Wi Ee’raf.” The iconic Egyptian composer and musician Hany Shenouda will participate in the discussion.

Talaa’t Harb Cultural Center

Talaa’t Harb Cultural Center will screen a movie starring Nour El Sherif, followed by a seminar in his memory at 6 p.m.

September 14 marks Sherif’s second death anniversary.

Artistic Creativity Center at Cairo Opera House

The center will continue hosting the Laurel and Hardy film week.

Cairo Opera House

The Small Hall will host a concert for the Egyptian jazz legend Yehya Khalil at 8 p.m.

El Samer Theatre

The National Organization of Cultural Palaces will end the Theatre Clubs Festival by hosting two theatrical performances.

The first one is “Senet” and will be performed by Luxor Theatre Club.

It is written by Andro Sobhy, and directed by Mena Raa’fat.

“Gypsy Murdered” is the second play that will take the stage.

Armant Theatre club will perform the play. It is directed and scripted by Nabeeh Kareem.

The play is an adaptation of one of Emmanuel Schmitt’s novels.

Zamalek Sports Club

Zamalek Sports Club Book Fair is continuing until September 19.
