CAIRO – 12 September 2017: Alexandria Opera House String Orchestra will celebrate its 14th anniversary on September 23 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Hisham Gabr is a resident conductor at the Cairo Opera House and the director of Bibliotheca Alexandria Arts Center, which is a dynamic cultural institution and part of the renowned library of Alexandria.

He studied conducting in Egypt, France, and the United States where he completed his studies in advanced conducting techniques at the Cornell University, New York.

He has been invited to conduct and compose in many international orchestras, such as Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, Caracalla Dance Theatre, and Royal Opera House (Oman).

Since the early 1990s, he has been composing music for movies, documentaries, musicals, and theatre plays.
