Forum honoring Egyptian female film Pioneers to open soon

CAIRO – 8 September 2017: The Egyptian Cultural Development Fund will organize a forum as a tribute to a number of pioneer Egyptian actresses in the film industry, at El Hanager Cinema from September 11 to September 15.

The forum aims to honour actresses of the golden cinema era including Assia, Fatma Rouchdi, Mary Queeny, Bahiga Hafez, and Aziza Amir.

A number of major movies for the actresses such as The Manager's Daughter [Bent El Basha El Modeer], Cairo 30 [Al Qahera 30] will be screened.

Seminars will be held following the film screenings. The seminars are expected to be addressed by Egyptian film icons such as actor Samir Sabry and director Ahmed Nader Galal.

A number of iconic actresses will be honoured including Magda El Sabahy, Nadia Lutfi, Shadia and Madiha Yousri.
