CAIRO – 6 September 2017: The Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theater is organizing a music and theater dance workshop given by the Swiss artist Nicolas Cantillon from September 24 to September 27 from 12 p.m to 4 p.m.

Since the creation of the 7273 team in 2003, the choreographer Cantillon, who works as a dancer and show designer, and Laurence Yadi have developed a dance style that invites the body to continuously and endlessly unravel and in which dancers sink deeper into their own sequence of repetitive movements. This singular dance style is widely taught to young dancers in professional training and in workshops.

The Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theater is held every year under the sponsorship of Egypt’s Ministry of Culture that was recreated in November 2014 to be like the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater that was first held in 1988.

It aims to expand mutual understanding among peoples throughout the world through theater and to introduce Egyptian and other Arab people to the most recent developments in the international theater. Several international specialists and representatives of international art festivals participate in it.
