Al Gakh is an Egyptian poet from Sohag governorate in Upper Egypt. He graduated from faculty of commerce, Ain Shams University. His poems are carving different human feelings and struggles in life, sailing between love, drama, politics and nature. Most of his fans are young people who find his poems distinctive and unique.

He got the award of best slang poet in Egypt in 2008 from The Egyptian Writers Union, and the award of The Second Poet in Prince of the Poets in 2011.

After about 15 years of writing separate poems, El Gakh decided to release his first collection of poems during one of the most important cultural events in Egypt, Cairo International Book Fair in February 2017.
