CAIRO – 6 September 2017: The theatrical team Hysteria will perform another concert at El Sawy Culture Wheel on September 14.

The new project reintroduces classic monologues with the team’s hysteric methods following previous successes, including the Hysteriatoon project.

“This time we chose the monologue art-form to connect with the seniors of our audience, to bring back their memories of music they enjoyed back in the day, albeit with our own hysterical twist,” Moataz Moahmed, one of Hysteria’s vocalists, told Egypt Today.

The team performed the “Hysteroalog” show for the first time at the Men Fat Adeemoh Tah (Those who ignored their past, were lost) Festival.

“It was an opportunity to match the place, the happening, and the performance,” Mohamed added.

Through Hysterialog, Hysteria is cooperating with another theatrical troupe named Halwasa; “Dr. Mohamed Abd El Qader and Dr. Hany Abd El Naser, the directors of Hysteria and Halwasa respectively, are both professors at Faculty of Music Education and longtime friends. The project was introduced a couple of years ago and they are redoing it now.”

Regarding Hysteria’s future plans, Mohamed revealed, “We are working on a Disney project with a new twist that’s in line with Spacetoon’s vocal performances.”

Founded in 2014 by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abd El Qader and Dr. Hoda Nossier, Hysteria aims to perform happy and upbeat music.

Hysteria previously carried out other projects including songs for cartoon channel Spacetoon, Disney songs, and a music composition of Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.
