The Search for Umm Kulthum film to participate in various film festivals

Cairo – 1 September 2017: The Search for Umm Kulthum film will participate in a number of prominent international film festivals.

The movie is participating in the 74th edition of the Venice International Film Festival, currently being held from August 30 to September 9. The Search for Umm Kulthum will also participate in the 42nd edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held from September 7 to September 17.

Movie director Shereen Nishat will participate with the movie in the 61st edition of London Film Festival, which will kick off from October 4 to October 15. The Search for Umm Kulthum revolves around Umm Kulthum, the most prominent singer in the Middle East. The movie highlights how she managed as an Egyptian woman to break down and penetrate all social, religious, political and national barriers that existed in her society. The famous and talented Egyptian actress Yasmine Raees played Umm Kulthum in the movie.
