CAIRO – 29 August 2017: Room Art Space and Café announced the new theme of September film nights where a unique blend of cinema accompanied with music will be launched.

The bond between cinema and music is the common factor between the four selected films for September.

‘La Vie en Rose,’ ‘Whiplash,’ ‘Llewyn Davis’ and ‘The Wall’ will screen during the month.
‘La Vie en Rose’ is a French biographical film about the life of the French singer Édith Piaf. It was released in 2007, and it carried the name of one of Piaf’s most beloved songs “La Vie en Rose.”

The second film that will screen is the American drama, ‘Whiplash.’ It narrates the life of a drummer who joins one of the best music schools. It was released in 2014.

‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ is another American movie to be screened at Room; it talks about a musician who wants to achieve musical success in 1960s. It is a black comedy movie that was released in 2013.

Room will finalize September Films with ‘The Wall.’

It is an American drama film released in 1982 about a rock star who builds a metaphorical wall to protect himself from the danger of the external world.

The movie is written by Roger Waters, and the name is taken from one of Pink Floyd’s Albums “The Wall.”

Last month, Room selected the impact of place on the characters’ behaviors as a theme of August films. It also chose different movies from different countries.
