CAIRO - 27August 2017: The manager of the famous boy band that still lives in our hearts, the Beatles, died on this day in 1967.

Brian Epstein was found dead as a result of an accidental drug overdose in his home in Essex at the young age of 32.

Epstein was the man to credit behind the tremendous success of the Beatles. He saw in them what people saw in later years. Through his vision, Epstein reinvented pop music by creating the greatest pop band of all time.

Epstein first met the Beatles in 1961 when they were playing at Liverpool’s Cavern Club with no manager and no recording contract. Epstein was running his family’s record and a musical instrument shop near Cavern when two costumers came in looking for a record the Beatles made as backup band for Pete Sheridan.

The clean cut boy band was very different when Epstein first saw them. They were dressed in leather and ate and drank casually on stage during their performance. But, Epstein was instantly captured by their characters and talent. He completely changed their persona and introduced the matching suits, haircuts and shoes.

In the beginning of the following year, Epstein was officially hired by the Beatles and within a few months, the Beatles got their first record deal with Parlophone Records.
