CAIRO – 22 August 2017: Wednesday, August 16 saw the release of ‘Nekbar Sawa’ by Arab boy band, The5, marking their return back to the music scene.

The band encompasses members from all over the Arab world, including Egyptian singer Ahmed Hassan, Moroccan Adil Echbiy, Lebanese Kazem Chamas and Algerians Saeed Karmouz and Mohamed Bouhezza (aka BMd).

The world's first ever pan-Arab boy band, The5 came to attention in 2015 following MBC's X-Factor where they debuted. In just a short amount of time, the group has managed to acquire over 4 million fans internationally, and have released hits such as 2016's La Bezzaf, which has amassed over 9,540,866 views on YouTube.

‘Nekbar Sawa’ is a mature, romantic song that focuses on the theme of love and growing old alongside your friends. The song was written by Hassan and Echbiy in cooperation with songwriter Salim Assaf. The track is but a sample of an upcoming album, and Gulf News reports that two more singles are on the way.
