CAIRO – 21 August 2017: The National Center of Theatre, Music and Folklore announced the reactivating of the Center’s music orchestra on Monday.

The main aim of the orchestra is to introduce a number of fine classical music pieces. They aim to bring more awareness of classic music to Egypt.

The orchestra carries ‘Newly Dressed Oriental Classics’ [Sharkeyat bi Eyoon Gadeda] as a new slogan.

The orchestra is directed by the Cultural Production sector led by Galal Khaled.
The National Center of Theatre, Music and Folklore was constructed in 1980.
It targets the promotion of theatrical arts and culture in the society, the documentation and reviving of the classic heritage.

The Center also has a museum that displays the belongings and the costumes of the leading theatre actors. In addition, it narrates the improvement of the Egyptian and Arabic theatre.
