CAIRO – 21 August 2017: 18th edition of Ismailia International Folklore Festival to kick off August 21 at 8 p.m. in Ismailia Cultural Palace.

The National Troupe for Popular Art headed by Galal Osman are to participate in the next round of the Festival. “The Festival will take place from August 21 to 25 with the participation of 12 countries,’’ said Osman.

The idea of the Festival as recounted by Osman is based completely on different dance performances that are presented by the different participating countries, hoping that Egypt will win an award in the festival.

The total number of Arab and foreign countries participating in this year's festival are 13 countries including South Africa, Mexico, Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan, Nigeria, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Bulgaria, Palestine and Egypt. The total number of participating teams in this year's festival is 21 troupes.
