CAIRO – 17 August 2017: Dutch contemporary dancer Anna Maria Suykerbuyk will be leading an ambitious Contemporary Dancing Workshop for six months at Studio Zat starting Friday August 18.

Known for designing several attractive dance routines and shows in Egypt and Netherland, Suykerbuyk is a professional Dutch dancer, and choreographer.

Lately, Sukerbuyk established her multidisciplinary performance art company ‘Sine Forma’ to produce a number of theatrical shows.

“I came, I saw, I did nothing,” “Since I am” are some of the produced projects by Sine Forma company. Sukerbuyk is also a member of the Cairo Contemporary Dance Center (CCDC) team.

Self expression is the main theme of Suykerbuyk dancing thoughts, as she believes that Art is an important method for self understanding. Art is escapism from life’s stress to another imaginative world, according to Anna Suykerbuyk’s official Facebook page .

Suykerbuyk seeks to improve self expression through physical movements, creating an atmosphere of artistic relaxation.

Music and photography are the main elements in her projects. She has previously cooperated with different artists, dancers and musicians from Egypt and Netherland.

In January 2015, the Dutch Performing Arts Funds honored Suykerbuyk for her efforts in supporting rising choreographers.
