CAIRO – 14 August 2017: Renowned actor and screenwriter Joseph Bologna died Sunday morning at City of Hope hospital in Duarte, California at age of 82, Daily Mail reported Monday.

Bologna was fighting a long battle against Pancreatic Cancer that began three years ago, according to his wife, actress Renee Taylor. Taylor described herself as his business and life partner.

They shared an Oscar nomination together for adapted screenplay Lovers and Other Strangers (1970). They also won an Emmy Award for writing the 1973 Marlo Thomas TV special Acts of Love and Other Comedies.

The couple has worked on 22 plays together including; It Had to Be You, Bermuda Avenue Triangle and If You Ever Leave Me… I'm Going With You.
