CAIRO – 9 August 2017: Renowned for his bizarre and outrageous comedy roles, American Actor Jim Carrey explores his artistic talents through a documentary titled 'Why I needed Color'.

This comes after news that he is set to go on trial next year for the death of his ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, who committed suicide in 2015.

The six minute documentary, available on Vimeo, follows Carrey in the aftermath of White's tragic death, and explains his relationship to art and how he "needed color".

Working in a large studio, Carrey both vibrantly colored paintings reflecting both the darkness of his mind and the zany comedy he's best known for. The American actor also scuplts and through art he is able to find his freedom.

Carrey is no stranger exploring darker aspects; though he might be best known for humorous films such as 'The Mask', 'The Truman Show' and 'A Series of Unfortunate Events', the actor has also starred in the drama 'The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' and the thriller 'The Number 28'.

Since the documentary was uploaded it has already received over 1.5 million hits, with many fans shocked at how immensely talented Carrey is. Even LeBron James the NBA star, has expressed his shock;
