'The story of the Dress' to be performed August 6

CAIRO - 6 August 2017: 'The story of the Dress' will be presented on Sunday, August 6, at 7:00 p.m. in Bussy, a place for performing arts projects.

'The story of the Dress' is the outcome of movement and girl’s storytelling workshops performed by girls from Banati Foundation. The performance is produced by Banati Foundation in partnership with Drosos Foundation.

Banati Foundation is a non-governmental organization that helps children especially girls in street to live in a better living conditions and to improve their psychological and physical health as well as their social conditions. It aims to combat street attractions, encourage children to leave street life and refine their mental and creative potential and ability to learn.

At the same time, Bussy Project is a performing art project that gives voice for untold stories about gender across Egypt. It organizes storytelling workshops and performances, where women and men could share their stories about harassment, rape, gender discrimination, honor killing, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, motherhood, domestic violence, child abuse, mass sexual assaults and many others, from different communities and cities in Egypt.
