CAIRO – 5 August 2017: A film screening about renowned Egyptian band Les Petits Chats will be displayed at Warehouse 421 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. The screening is part of an ongoing summer activities camp targeted for teenagers and adults.

Les Petits Chats is a well-known band that contributed to Egyptian pop music culture starting 1967. Several musicians embarked the ban including Wagdy Francis who used to be lead singer, Sobhy Bidair, and Ezzat Abu Ouf on keyboard who is currently a renowned Egyptian actor.

Other musicians who have participated in the band through the course of time, included Sadek Gallini, Talaat Zein, Hussein Rady, and Saxophonist and Flutist George Lucas.

In the 1980’s other artists joined the band including songwriter and music producer Tarek Madkour, Maged Yehia on bass guitar, Irish female singer Valerie, and prominent voice of female singer Rula Zaki, among others.

The band has carried our joint performances on international stages and has discontinued in 1997; however were reunited again to further contribute to Egyptian music in 2001, according to the band’s official Facebook page.
