CAIRO – 3 August 2017: Saudi actress/director Ahd Kamel will be starring in the foreign drama series Collateral that is expected to air in 2018 on BBC.

Born in 1987, Kamel left Saudi Arabia in 1998, where her success was a rare encounter in her country, therefore she first pursued her acting career in the United Stated where she studied and trained.

Mystery/drama series Collateral revolves around a taxi driver who dreams of forming his own business in this field; however his life is turned upside down when he discovers that one of his passengers is involved in several murder cases.

Directed by S.J Clarkson, the series is carried out through four episodes starring Kamel and Mark Preston, July Namir, Kae Alexander, and Orla Brady, among others.

Kamel has directed and composed several cinematic works and has participated as an actress in the famous Saudi film ‘Wajda’ and has won Best Actress award in San Francisco Festival. She produced a short film called ‘Horma’ and has won The Golden Bear Award for it in Berlin.

She also received several awards for her films ‘Samekt El Remal’ and ‘El Kondegry’ following achieving her directing degree from New York Film Academy.
