CAIRO - 1 August 2017: A new program from the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority will stock up prison libraries in various languages, such as English and Arabic, in a generous sign that even those behind bars deserve better chances to explore knowledge as well, regardless of how society views them.

The books in this program will also be offered to children of prisoners as well. The program comes as a result of a partnership between the Dubai Public Library and the Library of Penal and Correctional Institutions.

The Dubai Public Library features eight libraries for adults and seven for children, all connected via a computer system.
