Cairo University’s Faculty of Mass Communication Honors Mostafa Shaaban with Drama Excellence Award

The Center for Public Opinion Research at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, is hosting a seminar to announce the results of a public opinion poll of Egyptian audiences on Ramadan 2026 dramas. The event will take place on Thursday, April 23, at 12:00 PM in the conference hall at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University.

The Center conducted a survey involving 1,100 participants from different segments of Egyptian society, aiming to identify audience preferences regarding the TV dramas aired during Ramadan 2026. The poll yielded several results reflecting how Egyptian viewers perceive and rank this season’s productions.

During the seminar, a number of artists and creators behind the top-ranking series will be honored. Professor Dr. Sahar Mostafa, Director of the Center, confirmed that this year will also feature the Drama Production Excellence Award, which will be presented to star Mostafa Shaaban as Best Actor for his consistent contribution to Ramadan drama over 16 consecutive years. Notably, he is also a graduate of the Faculty of Mass Communication.
