Dr. Osama El Azhari, Minister of Awqaf, extended his congratulations to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the people of Egypt, the Arab and Islamic nations, and humanity at large on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr.

He prayed for these blessed days to return to everyone with goodness, prosperity, and blessings, and also congratulated the President on the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.

During the Ministry’s celebration of Laylat al-Qadr, attended by President Sisi, the minister highlighted that the “Dawlet El Telawa (State of Recitation)” program was carefully studied and designed in every detail to honor the Qur’an and Egypt, aiming to discover talents and prepare a new generation of reciters following the legacy of the masters of the Egyptian recitation school.

He explained that the program was developed in collaboration with key partners, especially United Media Services, with meticulous planning for every visual and artistic detail. This included designing the mishkat featured in the program, inspired by Mamluk-era architecture, one of the golden ages of Islamic art and architecture in Egypt.

Historical models of mishkats from the Museum of Islamic Art and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization were studied, and their artistic spirit was reimagined to create new designs that reflect the beauty of Egyptian Islamic art and form part of the program’s visual identity.

Additionally, a talented Egyptian calligrapher collaborated to design the “Dawlet El Telawa” logo in a style that showcases the elegance of Arabic calligraphy in service of the Qur’an, highlighting the genius of Egyptian art to the world.
