Ras El Afaa revealed several sabotage plots that the Muslim Brotherhood had allegedly planned to carry out in Egypt.
Episode 3 of Ras El Afaa witnessed intense developments. Murad’s mother, played by Amir Karara, tried to convince him to marry a girl she knows who works with her in textile weaving, but Murad completely rejected the idea of marriage.
Meanwhile, the terrorist leader Mahmoud Ezzat asked for Dr. Mohamed Kamal, one of the group’s members, to be brought to him to approve of carrying out several acts of sabotage in the country.
Mahmoud Ezzat, portrayed by Sherif Moneer, told Mohamed Kamal that he had ordered the smuggling of some of the group’s funds, specifically in euros and dollars, to trigger an economic crisis in the country.
He also instructed Mohamed Kamal to execute several destructive plans through the group’s youth members, including blowing up telecommunications towers, disrupting traffic, and creating instability in the country, so that citizens would feel that the terrorist group is still present and active.
Amir Karara leads a stellar cast in Ras El Afaa that includes Sherif Mounir, Ahmed Ghozzi, Caroline Azmy, Mahmoud El Bezzawy, and Lobna Wanass as they confront hidden forces attempting to derail the course of a hazardous case.
The series also marks the return of veteran actress Magda Zaki to the screen after an absence of more than four years, alongside appearances by Mourad Makram and several prominent stars.
Ras El Afaa is written by Hani Sarhan and directed by Mohamed Bakir. Inspired by true events, the series tells a gripping story of confrontation against shadowy powers that threaten national security.
