CAIRO- 29 JULY 2017: The Egyptian documentary “A Journey in Search of Abul Arabi” was shortlisted for the Best Documentary award at the International Tour Film Festival (ITFF) in Rome, Italy.

“A Journey in Search of Abul Arabi” was directed by Akram El Bezzawy, who previously participated in 2 other film festivals this year; the 2017 Minimalen Short Film Festival and Doc Sunback Film Festival. The film's plotline is about an inspiring character, Abul Arabi who is engraved into Egyptian culture and possesses super powers.

Proud of his son’s success, Mahmoud El Bezzawy, an Egyptian actor and director, tweeted the news to share it with the world.




ITFF will take place October 4 to October 8. The festival started as a recognized film festival in 2012. It features films from different genres including animation, fictional documentary and tourism promotional movies. All film submissions are free.
