The series Batal El Alam (World Champion) will air on the CBC TV channel starting January 18.
Batal El Alamunfolds over 10 episodes, following the journey of Salah, Africa’s boxing champion, who finds himself entering the world of personal bodyguards after losing his world title, in search of a second chance.
His life takes a dramatic turn when he is assigned to protect Donia, the daughter of a businessman who left behind a hidden inheritance and dangerous debts to Al-Mahrouq, the king of the betting underworld.
Salah and Donia embark on a series of chases to uncover the secret behind the fortune.
Will he be able to save Donia from this dark world? And will a love story be born between them amid danger and relentless pursuit?
The series stars Essam Omar and Gihan El Shamagergy, alongside the acclaimed actor Fathy Abdel Wahab. It is written by Hany Sarhan and directed by Essam Abdel Hamid.
The cast also includes Mohamed Lotfy, Ahmed Abdel Hamid, Adam El-Nahhas, and Mona Hala, with special appearances by El-Gayar and El-Dollar.
