Dr. Ashraf Zaki, Head of the Actors’ Syndicate, announced the death of Egyptian actor and screenwriter Tarek El Amir following a long battle with illness.
Tarek El Amir was an Egyptian actor and writer who began his artistic career in the 1990s.
He appeared in several supporting roles that left a clear mark on both cinema and television.
Among his most notable performances were the role of Officer Hany in Elly Baly Balak alongside Mohamed Saad in 2003, and Abdel Monsef in Assal Eswed with Ahmed Helmy in 2010.
He also played Mossad in Okal with Mohamed Saad in 2004, and appeared in Sona’a Fi Masr alongside Ahmed Helmy in 2014.
In addition to acting, El Amir had notable contributions to screenwriting, co-writing several films, including Katkoot (2006), Matab Senai (2006), and El Hob Keda (2007).
