Behind-the-Scenes First Looks at ‘Midterm’

Egyptian star Yasmina El Abd has given fans a first look at her series Midterm, posting behind-the-scenes photos from the set on her social media.
 

 

The project marks her first-ever leading role on television. Spanning 30 episodes, Midterm brings together a dynamic ensemble cast including Yasmina El Abd, Youssef Raafat, Jala Hisham, Ziad Zaza, Donia Wael, and more. Written by Mariam Al-Bagouri and Mohamed Sadek, with screenplay and dialogue developed by Barah Workshop, the series is directed by Mariam Al-Bagouri and produced by United Media Services. It is set to premiere on ON TV channel and the WATCH IT platform.

 

Beyond television, Yasmina is also preparing for her big-screen breakthrough. She recently began filming Kan Yama Kan, her first leading role in cinema, with production kicking off in Luxor. She stars opposite Nour El-Nabawy in the film, which is written by Eyad Saleh and directed by Ahmed Emad.

Meanwhile, Yasmina is wrapping up filming for the highly anticipated series Ebn El Nassaba. The drama features an impressive cast, including Kinda Alloush, Entisar, Yasmina El Abd, Moataz Hisham, Hamza Diab, and others. Directed by Ahmed Abdel Wahab, the series blends drama and suspense as it follows Rania, a lawyer whose life unravels after her husband's mysterious disappearance, leading her to transform into a powerful woman bent on revenge.

In parallel with her new role, Yasmina continues to gain recognition for her work. She was recently awarded Best Young Actress at the NRJ Drama Awards for her performance in Lam Shamsiyya, and was also honored at the Creative Summit for the same role.

Yasmina took part in Ramadan 2025 with the series Lam Shamsiyya, in which she plays Zeina. The series features an impressive ensemble cast, including Amina Khalil, Yasmina El Abd, Ahmed El-Saadany, Yousra El-Louzi, and Mohamed Shaheen, among others. Written by Maryam Naoum and directed by Karim El-Shennawy, the series unfolds within a suspenseful and captivating narrative framework.

In another context, Yasmina El Abd has been trending on social media during the past period after a scene with Maged Al-Kadawni was shown during the events of Mawdou A’eli 3. Airing exclusively on Shahid VIP, the series boasts a stellar cast, including prominent stars such as Maged Al-Kadawni, Taha Dessouki, Rana Raeis, Yasmina El Abd, Sama Ibrahim, and Mohamed Radwan, among others. Mawdou A’eli is written by Mohamed Ezz El-Din and Karim Youssef, and directed by Ahmed El-Gendy.

Most recently, Yasmina El Abd took the stage alongside the renowned Ahmed Helmy in the play Bani Adam, portraying the character of Zuba in the production, which ran during the Riyadh Season. Bani Adam boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Ahmed Helmy, Aseel Omra, Yasmina El Abd, Mostafa Khater, Hamdy Al-Marghani, Iman Al-Sayed, and Emad Rashad.

Yasmina appeared in the episode ‘Tafteesh Mofage’ of the series Sa’atu Wa Tarikhu, a gripping thriller series starring Ahmed Dash, Yasmina El Abd, Khaled Kamal, Ahmed Amin, Mayan El-Sayed, and more. Written and directed by Amr Salama, the series is adding to the lineup of must-watch productions featuring Yasmina El Abd.
