Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that the government is developing a full vision for a state-of-the-art media city featuring massive studios designed for filming major movies and global events, a project aimed at boosting tourism and attracting more international film productions to Egypt.
Madbouly revealed that the media city is planned near the Pyramids, tapping into the area’s historic and touristic value.
He noted that the project is expected to deliver major economic returns for the entire region by increasing tourist activity and raising hotel occupancy for crews working in film and media production.
The Prime Minister added that the initiative is part of Egypt’s plan to transform the country into a regional hub for cinema and media, supported by world-class infrastructure and advanced logistical and technological services that will attract top global studios.
Madbouly emphasized that the project aligns with the state’s vision to expand creative industries, boost their contribution to the national economy, and develop the areas surrounding Egypt’s major tourism landmarks.
