Egypt Hosts the Prestigious Grand Ball for the First Time at the Historic Abdeen Palace.
In a historic first, Egypt hosted the world-renowned Grand Ball today at Cairo’s iconic Abdeen Palace, marking the first time the lavish royal event has been held outside its birthplace in Monaco. The event is organized by Noble Monte-Carlo.
The Grand Ball is one of the most exclusive royal gatherings in the world, held annually under the patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. Classified as an Ultra Luxury Royal Event, it brings together distinguished guests from royal families, nobility, high society, and diplomatic circles across the globe.
Hosting this extraordinary event comes as part of the closing celebrations of the fifth edition of the international “Hope Givers” campaign, held in Cairo from November 7 to 9 under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority. The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization hosted the first event yesterday, while the closing ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 9 at the New Administrative Capital Opera House.
The Grand Ball saw high-level royal and diplomatic attendance, including Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, His Serene Highness Prince Joachim Murat, and official representatives of the Princely Palace of Monaco, alongside senior figures from France, Europe, Egypt, and around the world.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy expressed his pride in Egypt hosting this global royal celebration for the first time, affirming that it reflects the international community’s confidence in Egypt’s ability to organize world-class cultural and heritage events.
The event highlights Egypt’s timeless elegance as a destination that harmoniously blends royal heritage with modern sophistication and reinforces its position as a global stage for luxurious and culturally rich gatherings.
Engineer Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, emphasized the Authority’s commitment to supporting exceptional and distinctive events of this caliber. He noted that hosting The Grand Ball offers a remarkable opportunity to promote Egypt internationally as a luxury destination that combines history and modernity.
He added that welcoming an event ranked among the world’s Ultra Luxury Royal Events once again confirms Egypt’s standing as one of the most exquisite luxury and heritage destinations, boasting both majestic palaces and cutting-edge developments like the New Administrative Capital.
The Tourism Promotion Authority’s Cairo International Airport office warmly welcomed guests and provided all necessary assistance, reflecting Egypt’s professionalism in hosting major international events.
Yesterday, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization hosted the “International Masterclass” as part of the Hope Givers campaign, organized in collaboration with leading global institutions including Better World Fund and Listen2Hearn, supporting humanitarian and global health initiatives.
Notably, the Grand Ball is among Europe’s most prestigious and historic royal galas, first launched in Monaco in 1954 under the patronage of the late Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly. It has since continued annually under the leadership of Prince Albert II, celebrating art, culture, and elegance while supporting humanitarian and charitable causes, bringing together royals, nobles, and global leaders in an evening that symbolizes grace, unity, and shared humanity.
