Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Khaled El-Enany on his election as the new Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), following the vote held this evening by the organization’s Executive Board at its headquarters in Paris.

The Prime Minister wished El-Enany all the success in his new international role, describing it as a well-deserved culmination of a distinguished national career marked by integrity, dedication, and vision. He highlighted El-Enany's notable achievements during his tenure as Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, where he made a lasting impact and left a clear legacy in preserving Egypt’s unparalleled cultural and historical heritage a heritage that continues to inspire humanity across the ages.
Madbouly expressed his confidence that under El-Enany's leadership, UNESCO will embark on a new chapter of excellence, a bright milestone in its humanitarian mission to safeguard global heritage, promote sustainable development, and uphold every person’s right to education, knowledge, and creativity.
Reflecting on their years of collaboration, Madbouly said: “I have worked alongside Dr. Khaled El Enany for many years; he has always been professional, diligent, and visionary. We placed our trust in him for this significant post, and today Egypt has won the bet and so has the world, with a Director worthy of UNESCO’s stature.”
