Benedict Cumberbatch moved the Wembley crowd with a stirring recitation of Darwish’s iconic poem, turning the Together For Palestine event into a powerful blend of art, resistance, and solidarity.

A massive benefit concert titled Together For Palestine was organized by Brian Eno at London’s OVO Arena Wemblely on September 17, which livestreamed worldwide.

The concert lineup brought together Damon Albarn, Bastille, Cat Burns, Saint Levant, Greentea Peng, Hot Chip, James Blake, Jamie xx and more.

“We come together – not just to raise our voices, but to reaffirm our shared humanity,” Eno explained.

Later, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas declare they are “together for Palestine,” before Ben Howard, Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd, Black Mirror), and Succession star Brian Cox add their voices. Cox stresses, “We have to tell the truth on behalf of the people of Palestine,” while activist and photographer Nan Goldin reminds: “It’s always been the artist’s role in society to speak out, to risk speaking truth to power.”
