At a packed Together for Palestine benefit at Wembley Stadium, Richard Gere, used his time on stage to aim sharp words at both Israeli leadership and U.S. politics. The Pretty Woman star didn’t hold back, slamming “enablers” of the Gaza bloodshed and insisting that Donald Trump has the power to halt it immediately.
“Of course, Netanyahu has to go. All the enablers have to go, also,” Gere told the crowd, his remarks drawing waves of boos the moment he mentioned Trump’s name.
The acclaimed American actor went further, claiming that Trump could single-handedly end the violence if he chose to:
“There’s one man who could stop this thing in one day. He says he can stop wars in one day, my President Trump. In one day he could stop all this craziness. Netanyahu needs the US, needs Trump so badly. One day, if he wants a Nobel Peace prize, this is how to get it.”
The star-studded concert raised funds and awareness for Gaza as the siege nears its second year, but Gere’s fiery remarks lit up the night.
