Meg Stalter Uses Emmy Red Carpet to show solidarity with Palestine

 

 

At the 2025 Emmy Awards, comedian Meg Stalter turned heads by ditching the usual gowns and tuxedos for a simple jeans-and-T-shirt look—a deliberate move meant to send a message. Speaking to Variety, she explained, “It’s the most important to stick up for people and for peace… We have to use our platforms. What’s the point of being at these big events if you’re not going to use your privilege?”

 

Her words underscored a belief that showing up at major industry gatherings without championing meaningful causes is a wasted opportunity, and she chose fashion as her form of protest to remind peers of the responsibility that comes with visibility.
