Top-notch Hollywood stars—including Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, Jonathan Glazer, and Alfonso Cuarón—have joined Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Voice of Hind Rajab as executive producers, giving the Gaza-set drama a major boost ahead of its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 3.
The film portrays the harrowing final hours of six-year-old Hind Rajab, who in January 2024 called Red Crescent workers from inside a car riddled with bullets after Israeli fire struck her fleeing family in Gaza City. She was later found dead.
Built around the chilling audio of Hind’s pleas as medics tried to save her, the film highlights a moment that drew global outrage. Israel denied having troops in the area, but independent investigations by The Washington Post and Sky News confirmed Israeli tanks were present.
