For the first time, superstar Angham and hitmaker Tamer Ashour lit up the stage together at the third edition of the New Alamein Festival — delivering a memorable duet that thrilled the crowd.

The moment came as they performed Lawha Baheta (Faded Painting), a soulful track composed by Ashour and originally performed by Angham.

The United Media Services has officially announced the launch of the third edition of the New Alamein Festival, the largest of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East. Running from July 18 to August 29, the festival reflects the company’s vision to deliver world-class entertainment and cultural experiences that meet the aspirations of Egyptian and Arab audiences while promoting Egyptian tourism and raising Egypt’s profile on regional and global stages.

This year’s festival takes place in the heart of New Alamein City’s heritage district, specifically at the U-ARENA, a vibrant new venue built by the company in record time to host thousands of art and music enthusiasts. Tazkarti, renowned for orchestrating major international events, will organize the concerts and cultural shows.

The festival is proudly sponsored by some of Egypt’s leading companies, including Telecom Egypt, City Edge Developments, Egypt Post, and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.

Building on the success of its first two editions, the festival has already cemented its reputation as a comprehensive platform for all forms of art and entertainment, captivating millions in Egypt and beyond. Last year’s edition saw broad participation from all segments of society, attracting visitors from over 104 nationalities, alongside numerous public figures, officials, and diplomats from the Arab world and internationally.

The 2025 edition promises an even bigger celebration, with a star-studded lineup featuring some of the Arab world’s top music icons, including Amr Diab, Angham, Assala Nasri, Tamer Hosny, Tamer Ashour, Marwan Pablo, Lege-Cy, Wegz, and the band Cairokee. This makes it one of the most anticipated summer events on the calendar.

It’s worth noting that last year’s edition was a resounding success, welcoming nearly 2 million visitors and tourists, with a wide array of artistic, cultural, and sports events, and the participation of top celebrities and athletes. The festival drew praise from many, including Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, who lauded its role in showcasing the development of New Alamein City and reinforcing Egypt’s global tourism appeal.

New Alamein City, the festival’s host, continues to emerge as one of Egypt’s fastest-growing and most attractive tourist destinations. With its prime location along the Mediterranean coast and remarkable development in recent years, the city welcomed over one million tourists last summer alone, cementing its reputation as a rising hub for tourism and investment.

As one of Egypt’s Fourth Generation cities, New Alamein boasts world-class tourism, residential, and commercial projects — from luxury shopping malls and high-end residential towers to entertainment and cultural hubs. The city features two main sectors: the residential zone and the coastal zone, along with prominent areas such as the hotel district, conference center, entertainment zone, marina, and tourist housing developments.
