Egyptian megastar Mohamed Mounir is back with a brand-new collaboration, this time with hitmaker Mustafa Hadouta.
Their upcoming track has been chosen as the official theme song for the highly anticipated film Seret Ahl El Daye, set for release in cinemas across Egypt and the Arab world this summer.
With lyrics by Hadouta and music by Ehab Abdel Wahed the song marks the first-ever partnership between Mounir and the well-known lyricist.
Screenwriter Haitham Dabbour wrote the script, and director Karim El Shenawy directed it.
The cast includes Badr Mohamed, Asil Omran, and Islam Mubarak, with special appearances by film icon Ahmed Helmy and Mohamed Mounir himself.
Siret Ahl El-Dey follows the story of Dey, a teenage albino boy from Upper Egypt who embarks on a dream-filled musical journey that blurs the line between imagination and reality.
The film has already made an impression at major international festivals such as Berlin, Red Sea, and SAFAR and won four awards at the Hollywood Arab Film Festival.
This new project adds to a remarkable season for Mustapha Hadouta, who has been at the heart of several of the year’s biggest hits. He recently collaborated with Amr Diab on the track “Aflity El Lo’ba” from Diab’s summer album Ebtadaina, following their earlier success with “Ya Amar.”
He also wrote “Andi Ektefa” for Assala’s latest album, Dareebet El Bo’d, which is their first collaboration to date.
Hadouta has quickly become one of the most sought-after lyricists in the Arabic music industry. His portfolio includes viral sensations like “Bent El Geran” by Hassan Shakosh and Omar Kamal, “Msaytara” by Lamis Kan, “Mkhasmak” by Nawal Abd El Shafi, and “Wasa’ Wasa’” by Ahmed Saad. He’s also worked with Mohamed Ramadan and other major stars—building a name synonymous with chart-topping hits across streaming platforms and social media alike.
