Cairo concerts competes with Northern coast concerts

CAIRO – 27 July 2017: Arab and Egyptian singers held 3 concerts in Cairo challenging the concerts in Northern Coast on Wednesday, July 26.

Ali El Haggar held Wednesday a concert in Sakiat El Sawy as his usual to perform a concert every month in Sakia. At the same time, several concerts are holding the weekend in Cairo and the Northern Coast, which include Medhat Saleh and Maya Diab in Northern Coast and Faya Younan in Cairo at Chinese garden, International Cairo Festival Nasr City.

The star of the Gulf, Mohamed Abdo performed a concert in a Cairo hotel on the Nile. This concert should have been held within 10 days, but it was delayed due to the death of Prince Abdul-Rahman bin Abdulaziz.

The Moroccan singer Umm al-Ghaith staged a concert in El Azhar Park. Ghaith has participated in lots of international festivals, presenting through them a new model of songs mixing between Arab and English songs.

In a bid to boost tourism in Egypt, the Tourism Promotion Authority, with the participation of RMC Company, is sponsoring many concerts on the Northern Coast.

There, singers from Egypt and other parts of the Arab world, such as Sherine Abdel Wahab, Angham and Medhat Salah, as well as the musician Omar Khairat, will participate every Friday starting from July 21 until August 25 at the RMC Theater, according to head of the Tourism Authority Hisham al-Demiri.
