Get Ready for Laughs — Mohamed Mamdouh and Taha Desouky team up for the first time in the upcoming comedy Dafneno Sawa, promising a hilarious ride packed with unexpected twists.

 

The film is directed by Waleed El Halafawy and shooting will start after Eid El Adha. 

 

 

Desouky achieved remarkable success in portraying Moftah in the smash hit series Welad El Shams which was screened in Ramadan 2025. 

 

 

The Ministry of Social Solidarity extends its heartfelt congratulations to United Media Services and the creators of Welad El Shams, a remarkable example of collaboration between the ministry and the production company.

 

This partnership involved extensive coordination on both artistic and professional levels, with multiple preparatory meetings between the ministry’s care sector and the show’s creators throughout the production process. These discussions focused on the role of care institutions and the services they provide.

 

 

Additionally, the ministry nominated a group of care home graduates to star in the show’s final episode, offering an authentic representation of their experiences.

 

The ministry commends the overwhelming community support for the series and applauds its creators for giving a voice to children in care homes. Through a powerful and realistic drama, Welad El Shams sheds light on their struggles and real-life challenges—messages that will resonate for years to come.

 

This collaboration follows the success of Sa’ato wa Tarikho, which significantly raised awareness about the ministry’s services and hotlines. The ministry looks forward to continuing its fruitful partnership with United Media Services, now a key ally in spreading social awareness.

 

In recognition of the show’s impact, the ministry, in coordination with United Media Services, plans to host a special ceremony to honor the cast and crew at its headquarters, with the presence of care home residents, celebrating the series’ profound influence.

 

 

“Welad El Shams” is a 15-episode series, written by Mohab Tarek, directed by Shady Abdel Salam, and produced by United Studios.

 

 

The series stars Ahmed Malek, Taha Desouky, Mahmoud Hemeida, Farah Youssef, Mariam El Gendy, Jala Hesham, Moataz Hesham, and others.

 

 

The plot revolves around two friends who grew up together in an orphanage and follows their life journey as they are drawn into the world of theft and crime.
