Action designer Adam Brashaw took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a high-octane sequence from Fountain of Youth, filmed at Egypt’s iconic Pyramids of Giza.
“This previs was shot on my iPhone due to zero time!” Brashaw wrote, marveling at the scene’s rapid development. “Not every day you get exclusivity at the pyramids! It was one of those pinch-me moments where we choreographed an action sequence literally on the grounds of the pyramids.”
He revealed that he and stunt performer Lucy choreographed the scene the night before in a hotel corridor, shot the previs in just two hours on his phone, and had it approved by director Guy Ritchie the next day.
“Lucy was doing oners, take after take, in the heat, with her face covered — barely able to breathe — and still nailed it,” he added. “The whole team was buzzing. We got it in the bag.”
While some scenes were cut in the final version, Brashaw praised Lucy’s grit and talent, calling it “an awesome day” despite the challenges.
