Egyptian stars Ahmed Dawood and Ahmed Dash are on a roll, diving into a new cinematic collaboration titled “Ezma”, based on the acclaimed novel by Mohamed Sadek.
In a major creative shift, Mohamed Sadek, best known for his literary successes, will make his directorial debut with this film. Producer Hani Osama confirmed that both Dawood and Dash have officially signed on. Filming will begin soon once final preparations and casting are complete.
Originally published in 2020, “Ezma” has the haunting tagline: “Nine commands. Nine treasures. Find me.”
The story follows Eissa, who, on his 36th birthday and after a brutal battle with life that leaves him utterly defeated, receives a mysterious gift from the last person he’d expect.
The gift forces him to alter the course of his life entirely. Having lost his passion and sense of self, Eissa embarks on a soul-searching journey filled with challenges, self-discovery, and deep emotional trials—only to realize that to move forward, he must face his darkest fears.
