To honor Egypt’s sole Nobel Prize winner in Literature, the Ministry of Culture has declared that entry to the Naguib Mahfouz Museum will be free of charge on April 16th.
The Minister of Culture launched an initiative titled ‘Mahfouz in Our Hearts: A Celebration of Egyptian Identity’, to pay tribute to Mahfouz’s enduring cultural influence and his role in shaping Egypt’s literary and intellectual heritage.
This effort is part of a larger cultural agenda by the ministry that highlights the achievements of renowned Egyptian thinkers and artists.
Previous editions of the program have commemorated notable figures like filmmaker Shady Abdel Salam and poet Salah Jahin, hosting special events and exhibitions that delve into their lasting impact on Egypt’s cultural scene.
