The series Lam Shamseya teaches us how to bond with our kids in their language.

In one of the scenes Nelly (Amina Khalil) was explaining to her stepson Youssef ( Ali El Bialy) why she had to post on Facebook about how he was subjected to sexual harassment.

The cozy vibe in scene is irresistible—hang out with your kids and connect with them in the language they truly understand. Nelly and Youssef, we love both of you.

The series has been widely praised for tackling the critical issue of child abuse and harassment, sparking public conversation with its powerful storytelling.

From the very first episode, Lam Shamseya set the stage for its central themes, introducing key characters and family dynamics. One major revelation? Amina Khalil’s character, Nelly, is not Youssef’s biological mother but his stepmother—yet her love for him knows no bounds. She stands by him fiercely, ready to shield him from harm at any cost.

Written by Mariam Naoum, directed by Karim El-Shenawy, and produced by Media Hub – Saadi & Gohar, Lam Shamseya features a stellar cast, including Amina Khalil, Ahmed El-Saadany, Mohamed Shahin, Yosra El Lozy, Tharaa Goubail, Aseel Omran, Safaa El-Toukhy, and Yasmina El-Abd.

Amina Khalil takes on the role of Nelly, a devoted kindergarten teacher at an international school, married to Tarek (Ahmed El-Saadany). She has a five-year-old son, Yassin, and also helps raise Youssef, Tarek’s nine-year-old son from a previous marriage—forming a blended family dynamic that lies at the heart of the series.
